Sixty BC. The Republic rules the Mediterranean, but in Rome it is men who rule, not the law.

Pompey has conquered the East. His veterans wait for land, and the Senate refuses it.

Crassus has the money. His friends farm the taxes of Asia and want relief, but the Senate says no. Crassus cannot stand Pompey.

Caesar reconciles two enemies. Now nothing happens in Rome against any of the three.
