Two days on the bridge of ships
Caligula has a bridge of ships built from Baiae to Puteoli and rides across it for two days: on horseback and in a chariot.

Transcript
The Bay of Naples. Baiae is a resort full of Roman villas.
By sea, Baiae is about five kilometers from Puteoli.
According to Suetonius, the emperor has merchant ships brought in from all around.
They are lined up in a double row.
They are covered with earth, like the Appian Way.
Caligula first rides across on horseback.
In a wreath of oak leaves, with sword and shield, in a golden cloak.
Next day he returns by chariot.
Behind him: Darius, a Parthian hostage, and the whole Guard.
In the evening bonfires burn on the hills.
The bay looks like a theater, and the night like day.
